Management in the ballet and dance market has been our trade for more than 60 years and we are one of the leading companies in this field in Central Europe. Is there any way to express love, passion and pain more directly and better than through dance? Furthermore, we would like present to you on this homepage our second department: puppet-theatre and music (especially chamber music).
Dance with all its aspects and its development is the core of the work from Grevesmühl (how the agency is called by many promoters). To support and to extend development is the biggest wish of the agency. Because of this wish we do not only promote performances from world-wide renown companies – we also had the possibility to create in cooperation with The.Lab Art & Media: Love hurts … Petrushka – a "Dancical", premiered on the 24th of October in Ludwigshafen. This production combines dance styles like ballet, street dance, breakdance and Hip-Hop.
To keep chamber music alive is another important mission of ours as music is the foundation everything is build on, including dance. And last but not least: puppet-theatre. What would we do without any puppets, which sometimes show emotions better as we human beings would ever be able to?
About the history of the company
The Norddeutsche Konzertdirektion was founded in 1957 by Melsine Grevesmühl. As the first agency for guest performances in Germany, the Norddeutsche Konzertdirektion achieved to bring modern dance to Germany in the sixties of the last century. In the end of the seventies of the last century, Melsine’s oldest son, Wolfgang Grevesmühl, joined the agency. In 1992 the agency changed its status and became Norddeutsche Konzertdirektion Melsine Grevesmühl GmbH. The GmbH had two directors: Melsine & Wolfgang Grevesmühl. This became a tradition, when in 2001 Melsine’s granddaughter Franziska Grevesmühl-v. Marcard joined the agency replacing her retiring grandmother.
Since more than sixty years our agency stands for exclusive dance in Germany and Europe. To maintain this tradition the NORDDEUTSCHE KONZERTDIREKTION is always looking to ways to evolve dance, at the same time keeping traditions alive.
